I am the Operations Manager for Cranbrook Independent Nursery & Pre-School, Working Mums Daycare & Pre-School and Castle Nursery & Pre-School group of nurseries. I have worked in the childcare industry for more than 30 years and have two children of my own. Prior to being Operations Manager, I was a Nursery Manager in the Cranbrook group of nurseries having started as a Nursery Practitioner. As Operations Manager I am accountable for the development of each nursery to ensure they are equipped with the manpower, expert knowledge and training required to ensure compliance with the Children’s Act and to follow the guidelines laid down by Ofsted/National Standards/EYFS to enable all children to be developed in a safe and secure environment, to reach their full potential. I love the challenge of the role, and most importantly I relish contributing to your child’s happiness.

Early childhood education and care has always been very important to me and a job I love. This grew even more when I had my own two children. There is nothing like having two children of your own go through child care settings to really put into focus the incredible responsibility and importance of our roles. My love of early years and parenting is what drives me to ensure we are delivering quality to the children in our settings. I commenced the role of Regional Manager for Childcare & Learning Group in August 2018, having previously been the Area Manager since January 2016, after many years working as Manager at Castle Nursery & Preschool in Guildford at our Markenfield setting. During my time as manager, I completed my B.Ed. in Early Years and then went on to complete my Masters in Early Years. In the Working Mums group, none of the settings are under my direct responsibility, although I am involved through senior leadership team support and collaborative working.

I began my career with Cranbrook Nursery & Preschool at Buttercup Barn in May 2000 as a Nursery Practitioner. I then moved to Ivy Cottage as a Deputy Manager and in 2002 I became the Manager. I moved over to Clover Court Nursery in 2010 and at the start of 2018 extended to London’s Working Mums’ East Sheen nursery where I supported during transition between managers. In August 2018, I was appointed Regional Manager for Childcare & Learning Group. My childcare journey began when I was 13 years old, having done a work experience in a Nursery. From that point I knew I wanted this to be my career and to make a difference in the start of a child’s life. I have a BA Hons in Childcare and Education. For the Working Mums’ group of nurseries, I am the Regional Manager directly responsible for our Mortlake and East Sheen settings.

I began my career in childcare in 1991 when I came to England from Serbia to be an au-pair. I thoroughly enjoyed working with children and decided to gain formal childcare qualifications and completed the NNEB Diploma in 1996. Since then I have worked in a variety of settings, mainly in supervisory/ managerial roles and these include crèches, holiday play schemes, day nurseries and children’s centres. I obtained my BA (Hons) Degree in Early Years and Leadership in 2014 and have since then progressed in my career working as a Senior Manager and Area/ Regional manager roles; supporting, advising and coaching managers. I joined Childcare & Learning Group as Regional Manager in August 2018  and am really looking forward to working alongside senior management, managers and their teams. For the Working Mums’ group of nurseries, I am the Regional Manager directly responsible for our Battersea Setting.

Working Mums Daycare & Pre-School offers a very high standard of care, experienced and qualified staff.
