Jenny Gooch, Nursery Manager – Mortlake
Jenny joined Working Mums’ in 1992 when the Mortlake setting opened and Working Mums Daycare & Preschool was established. She started off as cover staff after she left school, loved it and realised it was what she wanted to make a career out of. She progressively developed, becoming NVQ3 qualified in early childhood care and education, working with all ages of children and through leadership roles until she became Manager in 2014.
Jenny introduced Forest School to Working Mums, being one of the first through the BTec Diploma in Forest School teaching, new to the UK at the time. She has been instrumental in the development of Preschool sessions for children in the year before they go to school, receiving annual feedback from parents and reception teachers on the skills her leavers are taking to their reception classes.
Manjit Patel, Deputy Manager – Mortlake
Manjit joined our Mortlake Nursery in February 2008. Before working in this nursery she had a lot of experience with children aged four months to four years through nannying. She has vocational qualifications in childcare and education and a degree in psychology.
Manjit loves working with children because every day is full of surprises and thanks to them she gets to work in a lively, fun and happy environment!In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and family and especially her two sons.
Natalie Chrystie, Operations Manager
As the Operations Manager for Childcare And Learning Group, Natalie has responsibility for supporting and developing the nurseries and pre-schools within the group, including Castle Nursery in Shamley Green.
Natalie is a qualified childcare specialist with over 40 years experience working in the childcare industry including many years running individual nurseries for the group. Leading a senior team of three regional managers and a special projects manager, she ensures that nurseries have the facilities, support and training required to meet the group’s own high standards for best practice in childcare.
