Our Management Team
Bianca Otar, Manager
Bianca joined the Working Mums family in September 2019. Born in Sheffield, Bianca brings a positive attitude to the team, encouraging teamwork and continued progression. Her journey in childcare started in 2010 as a practitioner, gaining an NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in childcare and management. She has experience of both home based childcare and in managing several nurseries since 2014.
Bianca has continued to develop herself professionally, participating in a wide variety of training courses including SEND, Designated Safeguarding Lead, Motivating Boys and Disadvantaged families. Bianca is passionate about providing exceptional childcare to the children at Working Mums Battersea and knows that this cannot be achieved without the support of the parents, carers and wider families. As Bianca always says ‘it takes a village to raise a child’.
Aimee Blackman, Deputy Manager
Amie joined Working Mum’s Battersea as Deputy Manager in January 2021. She has worked in childcare since 2014, starting off as a nursery practitioner and progressing to senior and management roles. Within this time, Amie worked in nurseries part time, around studying for her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Studies with Psychology.
Her passion is providing a safe space for children to develop and promote their wellbeing. She takes immense pride in aiming to prepare children for the big wide world, through supporting their development in their foundation years and when their brains are most malleable. To further understand the complexity of the human brain and how experiences can impact your mental health and wellbeing, Amie went on to complete her Master’s in Psychology.
Natalie Chrystie, Operations Manager
As the Operations Manager for Childcare And Learning Group, Natalie has responsibility for supporting and developing the nurseries and pre-schools within the group, including Castle Nursery in Shamley Green.
Natalie is a qualified childcare specialist with over 40 years experience working in the childcare industry including many years running individual nurseries for the group. Leading a senior team of three regional managers and a special projects manager, she ensures that nurseries have the facilities, support and training required to meet the group’s own high standards for best practice in childcare.
“We know that Working Mums is only as good as the relationship between our staff and our customers (the big ones and the little ones!) and we plan to continue listening and responding to parents’ needs, quickly and effectively.”
