As Bianca always says ‘it takes a village to raise a child’.

Aimee Blackman, Deputy Manager

Amie joined Working Mum’s Battersea as Deputy Manager in January 2021. She has worked in childcare since 2014, starting off as a nursery practitioner and progressing to senior and management roles. Within this time, Amie worked in nurseries part time, around studying for her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Studies with Psychology.

Her passion is providing a safe space for children to develop and promote their wellbeing. She takes immense pride in aiming to prepare children for the big wide world, through supporting their development in their foundation years and when their brains are most malleable. To further understand the complexity of the human brain and how experiences can impact your mental health and wellbeing, Amie went on to complete her Master’s in Psychology.
